THE EVENT
Marsh Creek Skatepark is a premier skate facility that offers a variety of obstacles and features designed for skaters of all levels. Nestled in a scenic setting, the park combines open space and shaded areas with carefully crafted skate features, making it a favorite spot for the community. With areas dedicated to both street and transition skating, Marsh Creek Skatepark is built to challenge and inspire skaters, from beginners to seasoned pros. The park includes a range of obstacles that encourage creativity and skill progression, as well as spectator seating for those who come to watch the action.

THE SCHEDULE
The Crowder Power Blade Contest is packed with a full day of thrilling competitions and open skate sessions for all participants. Starting with sign-ups and open skate, the day moves through various divisions, including the Quad Comp, Juniors, Bladies, and Men's events. Each division will have both preliminary rounds and finals, ensuring that the top skaters get the chance to show their best. Open skate sessions allow everyone to enjoy the park in between the competitions, with the event culminating in the winners' announcements. Will Gordon has been featured in prominent rollerblading publications like Daily Bread Magazine, gaining recognition for his technical skills and dedication to the sport. Known for his unique style and fearless approach, Gordon has been celebrated as one of the strong voices in the rollerblading scene, inspiring others with his relentless passion and commitment to pushing the boundaries.
Phillip Gripper is another North Carolina skater who has gained acclaim for his versatility and creativity. Gripper’s approach to skating showcases his adaptability on different terrains and his drive to innovate. His style resonates with both new and experienced skaters, making him a respected figure in the community.
Rob Thompson made his mark on rollerblading with his fearless style and technical innovation. As a standout member of the Salomon Street Skating team in the early 2000s, Thompson pushed the limits of what was possible on rails and delivered some of the biggest hammers in the sport. His influence continues to inspire skaters worldwide, solidifying his legacy as a pioneer in aggressive inline skating.
Chris Edwards, known as the "Godfather of Aggressive Inline Skating," is a trailblazer who brought rollerblading into the spotlight in the early 1990s. With his daring tricks, including one of the first backflips on skates, Edwards pushed the boundaries of what was possible in the sport. Beyond his athletic feats, he contributed to skate design and played a key role in establishing competitive events like the National Inline Skate Series (NISS). Through his media appearances and influence in Daily Bread magazine, Edwards inspired generations, cementing his legacy as a pivotal figure in rollerblading history.
